Below are places that would appeal to families from overseas if you are visiting Singapore the first time! My recommendations are not listed in order of preference.
Sentosa- Adventure Cove (here)
- Water park that is fun for both adults and kids. When in Sentosa, if you don’t want to do anything too adventurous, we usually bring the kids’ beach wear and chill at Coastes (here) where the adults drink, and kids play right next to the seating area.

Sentosa- Skyline Luge and Skyride (here)
- This attraction is right across from Coastes, You can get a single pass, unlimited or 3-times pass. I find the 3-times pass sufficient!
Sentosa- Dolphin Island (here)
I personally haven’t taken my kids there, but many of my friends have visited. You get to swim with dolphins!
Art Science Museum at Marina Bay (here)
This is a must-visit! Your kids won’t want to leave after playing with the interactive displays!

Garden by the Bay (here)
- Flowers Dome (you can check whether the theme is something you’ll enjoy! In March they sometimes showcase cherry blossoms, and pumpkins in March!

- If there isn’t anything special that’s featured in Flowers Dome, you could probably skip it and visit Cloud Forest. It’s pretty chilly inside, so do bring a cardigan for yourself or for the kids!
Museum of Ice Cream in Dempsey (here)
- I enjoyed visiting the museum twice with my kids. The sprinkle pool was a memorable experience. TIPS: If you want to be environmentally friendly, bring your own spoons as plastic and wooden spoons are provided with the ice-cream that is served
Singapore River Wonders (here)
- This is an UNDERRATED attraction where kids not only get to see the giant freshwater stingray and manatees, but go on a boat adventure along the Amazon River (reminds me of Disneyland!) and watch a show feature animals that live by the river (need to reserve 2 hours before the show HERE)
- It’s really fun. I come here 10 times a year!
Singapore Bird Park (here)
- This is another UNDERRATED attraction… the SHOWS are amazing! It is worth just going there to catch the shows. Make sure to check the timing!
Indoor Go-carting for kids (here)
I haven’t taken my boys yet, but it looks a lot of fun!
